Let me add my voice in support of one particular book “Be successful; be spiritual” by Dr John Temple. 

It is a book on “How to serve God in the work place”. It is an excellent MUST READ for every Christian who is a worker in every work place, and those studying to get into the working world someday. It has sections on economics, the market place, ethics at work, leadership principles, honesty, integrity, making money, gambling, and many other “for-you-and-me-today topics”.

 It includes real life case studies with a stress on the fact that you cannot as a Christian live a life of “dualism” or one section of life for Sunday and the other for the work place. You must honour God every minute especially at work.

The book has been read and commended by Dr Jerry Bridges author of “The pursuit of holiness” and the forward is by Dr John Blanchard of the “Ultimate questions” fame. Dr Temple has been variously Director and CEO of a number of firms over a thirty year period. He has served on various school governing boards from kindergarten to university. He has lectured in Universities in South Africa and the USA . He has held almost every leadership position at local church level.

His last job was CEO of Plessey Corporation which is a listed company with offices in eight countries. After retiring, he founded a computer company with offices in South Africa , USA and UK where he now lives.
