| Mukupa Nsenduluka's Testimony of Salvation |

I became a Christian on 27th November 2008. I had heard the gospel several times from childhood due to the fact that I had grown up in a Christian home with Christian Parents who had imparted the word of God from when I was little. Despite this fact, I never took the word of God seriously. I would listen and then forget about it. I occasionally pondered on it but would rarely take action. Then one day right after family devotion, dad gave me a serious talk; He said that I was growing older and that time was running out. He further went on to tell me that if I don’t give my life to God, I would be an object of God’s wrath until I die and go to hell. That night Dad’s words struck me and I would not sleep. I then began to read a book entitle “A Journey in Salvation” by Richard Belcher.The following day I had many questions to ask concerning salvation and eternal life. My Mum then read 1 John 1:9 ( “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”) to me and explained that if I ask God to forgive me of my sins He would do it if I had prayed from the bottom of my heart. I then realized how sinful I was and that Christ came to die for me because he loves me so much. I then knelt down and confessed my sins to God and asked him to forgive me. That is how I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and friend. Amen! |
