Kabwata Baptist Church - Home Groups
INTRODUCTION
Avondale

Home groups are the smallest units of the Kabwata Baptist Church community. The Groups are formed of members who live in various parts of Lusaka and are led by home group leaders under the supervision of the Eldership of the Church. The focus of these groups is to participate in “the Great Commission” by spreading the Gospel in their local communities and teaching one another to be obedient to Christ through the study of the Gospel.

The Home Groups mainly spread the Gospel through outreach activities on Tuesday evenings. During outreach the group will typically separate into pairs and go from house to house discussing mankind’s guilt before God and the offer of salvation through faith in Christ. The Home Groups are also the units through which Kabwata Baptist Church conducts seasonal and “special” outreach efforts.

The members of the groups also meet on Thursdays to hold prayer meetings or Bible studies. These meetings are one of the primary ways we build relationships and cultivate fellowship with each. The meetings also provide a way for the members of the Church to be personally cared for and to be transformed by mutual ministry to one another.
